If you have been dismissing the occasional identity theft statistics that you might hear on the news, don’t be so quick to ignore them. The sad fact is that people are victimized by identity theft every single day. However, the good news is that you can acquaint yourself with some of those identity theft statistics in an effort to protect yourself.
The first of the important identity theft statistics to know is that, in the US, there are three states that seem to be more prone to identity theft victims than any of the other forty-seven US states.
The most troublesome identity theft state seems to be Florida. This is a state that is home to many elderly citizens who tend to make good targets for identity thieves.
After Florida, the two next states that the identity theft statistics indicate are at the highest risks are Arizona and Texas. So, if you happen to be a resident of those three states, you should be especially on your guard.
Identity theft statistics are important to know, but you shouldn’t take them too literally. For example, if you aren’t a member of the above three states, don’t think that you’re safe. Your personal information is still very much at risk.
For example, credit card fraud is the most common form of identity theft, according to statistics from 2009. However, credit card theft only makes up about 17% of all identity thefts, as of the time of that poll.
What that means is that you are vulnerable to identity theft in many other ways. Employment fraud made up 13% of the complaints, for example. Meanwhile, utilities and phone fraud accounted for 15%. Still, though, that’s only 45% total.
According to identity theft statistics, the other 55% consisted of 16% government document fraud, 10% bank fraud and 4% loan fraud, among other types of identity theft. That’s why it’s so important to protect your personal information from thieves, no matter what you are doing.
Now that you know some important identity theft statistics, you can be on your guard. Shred personal documents and be careful of how you give out your personal information.

If you are starting out in a career, looking for a change of career, or just stagnating in a job that you’ve been in too long, and not progressed to the level you feel you should have, then the current economic climate will make this period of your life seem like a daunting challenge.
Perhaps you feel that you are under qualified and never really fulfilled your full potential in the academic arena, or perhaps you fell that you are over qualified for many of the jobs out there? It may come as a surprise to you that in fact your intelligence level or IQ has been shown to account for only 20% of your success in life. What plays a defining factor in those that succeed and those that remain to be content (or not) with mediocrity is the level of Emotion Intelligence (EQ) displayed, rather than Intelligence (IQ).
Emotional Intelligence is defined by 5 main areas:
1. Self-Awareness – understanding your own emotions
2. Managing Emotions – Controlling your own emotions
3. Self-motivation – Channelling your emotions towards a goal
4. Empathy towards others – Recognising the emotions of others
5. Handling Relationships – Managing the emotions of others
A great deal of research has discussed the right and left sides of the brain and how they function differently. One thinks and one feels, and it is those that have the ability to balance the two sides of the brain as they go about their lives exponentially increase their chances of success. Emotions can often cloud logic when making difficult decisions and dealing with difficult situations, but the good news is that unlike IQ, you’re EQ can be developed and improved just like a skill. There are a number of ways that you can work on improving yours such as:
? Put yourself in someone else’s shoes and really look at things from their perspective. Try to feel what they are feeling and think about how they might react in that situation.
? Eliminate negativity from your life – always take a positive outlook on life and surround yourself with people who do the same
? Learn from your mistakes and successes. Take time to reflect back on experiences and situations and replay different scenarios and outcomes
? Visualise upcoming situations and walk through in your mind exactly how you want them to go. Imagine the variations and prepare for them.
Remember – success is not an accident. Those who have a achieved greatness educated themselves and took action in their lives.

It is yet another achievement for the auto major Tata Motors. Recently the company has been provided with a better rating by a famous rating agency. The rating agency Moody’s has recently raised the rating of Tata Motors, the largest automaker of the country. This rating has been increased by a notch because of the improved and developed performance of Jaguar Land Rover, the Tata Motors owned British marquee brand.
Earlier, the rating agency had provided a B2 rating to Tata Motors but now because of the improved performance, this rating has been raised to a Ba3. Jaguar Land Rover has now been showing improved performance though it had declined during the third quarter of the fiscal year 2009. But since that time, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) has been continuously recovering and has shown growing and progressing volume along with higher revenues alongwith margins on the launches of new products, stated the Moody’s Investor Service. Moody’s Vice-President/Senior Credit Officer Alan Greene commented that the up- gradation in rating shows the recovery in the performance of operations of the JLR business which exceeded Moodys expectations. He further added that the company is growing with speed and also the Indian business remains quite profitable. This has given the output of much improved leverage ratio of Tata Motors Limited.
Besides these statement, Moody’s also commented that Tata Motors is also observing a huge recovery in its Indian business. This has got the support of auto sectors growth of the country. On one side, the business of the commercial vehicles is constantly booming and is representing the main part of Indian operations of the company while on the other side, Tata Motors passenger vehicle volume growth can be observed by the current launches of product, like the cheapest car of the world Tata Nano or the launch of Tata Manza. Such launches helped in powerful revenue growth.
Moodys also stated that the stable outlook of the company shows the stronger solid footing of the business which follows the market acceptance of newly launched products and the company business strategy divisions that are being steadily implemented.
